TUBULAR BATTERIES

Tubular gel (OPzV) batteries provide the lowest Total Cost of Ownership amongst lead acid technologies. Tubular positive plates with non-woven polyester gauntlets provide the highest cycling expectancy amongst lead acid technologies. Special sliding pole terminals are incorporated to accommodate natural grid growth occurrence throughout the battery lifetime. Tubular gel batteries are completely maintenance-free. Sold in 24V and 48V systems with racking, battery interconnect and row-to-row interconnect cables included. Seismic racking options are available.

FLAT PLATE LEAD ACID BATTERIES

The workhorse of energy storage for off-grid applications, Discover’s 390Ah EV-L16 VRLA battery has enhanced-alloy, heavy-duty grids for better active material adhesion, corrosion resistance and extended service life. This purpose-built battery uses high density active material paste to deliver longer runtimes at high discharge currents. Discover’s EVL16 has a low specific gravity for reduced heat and high cycle life performance. Sealed, non-spill, maintenance-free VRLA technology results in 99.9% gas recombination and reduced off-gassing and water loss.
